We recently travelled to Lyon, France, to attend the 11th European Working Memory Symposium (EWOMS), an international conference bringing together researchers from across the world to discuss the latest developments in working memory research. A key theme of this year’s conference was strategy use, making it a particularly good opportunity to share some of our key findings, as well as get feedback on some upcoming work!

We are pleased to share that our paper on the development of an AI-generated real-world object stimuli set has been accepted in Behavior Research Methods.
We used Generative AI to create a set of 200 real-world object images for use in research.
The stimuli are:
- Validated for nameability, realism and familiarity in younger (18-35) and older (65-85) adults
- Available in 7 different colours, and suitable for rendering in other colours
- Suitable for embedding in virtual scenes
